Asa way out ahead
WELCH—Your Welch Wildcats ended Friday night’s game in a circumstance very similar to last week, defeating their opponent by the 45-point mercy rule with just over three minutes remaining in the game.The 45-0 Cat victory makes the Cats 2-0 on the season as they face the Watts Engineers on the road next week.
Alex Smith was high scorer for the Wildcats again with 14 points from two TDs and a 2-point conversion. Asa Chenoweth had two touchdowns for 12. Austin Buchanan, Tra Dodson, and Casey Pendergraft had one TD and six points each, and Chance Harris got on the board with a point-after kick for one.
