In Memoriam: Jackie Clinton Dodson

WELCH—Jackie Clinton Dodson, 85, a highly respected Welch rancher, passed away at his home on Saturday evening, Feb. 11, 2017, after a sudden illness. He was born July 23, 1931 in Boatman, Okla., to Everet Dodson and Hazel (Walton) Dodson.

Jackie was married to the love of his life, Kaylynn Patterson. They loved their ranching lifestyle and country living. They enjoyed their family to the fullest, especially their grandchildren, and keeping up with their activities.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Janet Sterling; and one brother, Johnny “Tooter” Dodson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kaylynn, of the home; two sons, Justin Dodson and wife Kim of Welch, and Clint Dodson, also of Welch; one daughter, Jackie Ann Frymire and husband Pete of McCrory, Ark.; two brothers, Everet (Slim) Dodson and wife Judy of Salina, Okla., and Steve Dodson and wife Debbie, also of Salina; three sisters, Maxine Scoggins of Claremore, Okla., LaFonda Dodson of Wichita, Kan., and Vickie Dodson of Pryor, Okla.; six grandchildren, Petie Ann Rudick, Tylor Dodson, Trá Dodson, Jason Frymire, Brian Graves, and James A. Sterling; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Jackie will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Boatman. Private family services will be held.
